Roots Beleidsadvies is a research and consultancy company that operates on the interface between spatial economics and regional development.
What do we do?
In the vision of Roots a region or location must be developed to its specific characteristics (the roots of the region/location). Roots assists its clients in identifying those characteristics, the visualization of relevant trends and developments, and providing visions. The company also delivers (market)studies for the development of locations and analyzes the economic and welfare effects of interventions in the social, economic and physical domain.
The specialties of the research and consultancy company lie into spatial-economic research, guiding vision and strategy development, the preparation of economic action programmes, impact assessment of projects in urban and rural areas, policy evaluation and process management. In the field of spatial economics and regional development Roots Beleidsadvies is active throughout the policy cycle: from visioning to implementation and from implementation to evaluation.
Who are we?
Roots Beleidsadvies was founded in 2011 by Gilbert Bal. Before this time Gilbert has gained extensive experience in the Economic Research Department of Rabobank Nederland and the division Regions, Strategy and Entrepreneurship of ECORYS. Roots is now located in Rijswijk, just between Rotterdam and The Hague.
Who are our clients?
Roots Beleidsadvies is working alone or in association with other research institutes and/or consulting companies for municipalities, provinces and ministries.
